Wilmington Drinks Table

A oak drinks table with a reeded drawer, two shelves and a handmade antique brass pull handle. The shelves and drawer are supported by solid oak reeded pillars, standing on large round feet.

The table sits on bun feet, adding a playful touch and referencing favourite pieces from the past. 

Lying at the foot of the South Downs, Wilmington is a village likely to have got its name from a combination of ‘wylm’ meaning cloud and ‘ington’ ​​meaning fortified village on a hill. This name felt fitting for the juxtaposition of the rounded, pleasing foot and the strong structured pillar. It also happens to be just a few miles from our workshop where we make our furniture.

This piece can be used in varied settings, most often we see it as a table that homes bottles, glassware and accessories forming a small bar area. It could also sit in a hallway or in a corner, as a piece with a lamp on top and to home favourite books or objects, with a handy drawer for storage. The finish of the piece can be selected from our offering of oak finishes which we apply to the timber by hand.
